Sweet Southern Public RelationsFor my senior public relations campaign capstone course, groups were required to form PR agencies. Our group named our agency Sweet Southern Public Relations to emphasize the company's personality of southern hospitality and confidence mixed with courteous and boldness. I had the privilege of making our logo.
The logo (left) used "sweet" colors of tan, white, mint and pink, but in light tones to keep a sense of professionalism. The overarching oak tree displayed prominence in the logo because it is a well-known symbol of the south. The "Sweet Southern" font was Champagne & Limousine and "public relations" was Fineliner Script. Both were simple and professional text, with a feminine hint. The header logo (below) was used for our agency's class blog. |

Children's Museum of HoustonI had the privilege of being a public relations intern at the Children's Museum of Houston under the title of Multimedia Communication Specialist. This internship really helped me expand my knowledge and skills of online technology.
Prior to my internship, the museum's traveling exhibits' pages were severely outdated. This was a critical problem because the traveling exhibits are a large source of revenue for the museum. I worked closely with the Traveling Exhibit Manager to design five professional pages for exhibit rentals. After the pages' edits, the website saw a dramatic increase in views on the exhibit rentals page, and within one week there were two requests for exhibits. The page designs are displayed (left), but they can also be viewed on the museum's website. |

Christ the KingAt Christ the King at LSU, I was a co-head for coordinating the semester dances. Each required extensive amounts of planning, including coming up with a theme and designing the fliers/invitations for the dance.
The designs (right) were the fliers I made for two of CTK's dances. These fliers were posted around the Church and posted on CTK's social media to promote the event. The first design was for Christ the King's End of the Year Banquet - Bollywood themed. The second design was for Christ the King's Annual Fall Dance - 50's Sock Hop themed. The third design is a flier I made for Christ the King's Passion Play. The passion play is one CTK's biggest event of the year. With a drawing from Jeremy Lopez, I created the passion play flier. The flier was distributed to local middle & high schools, local parishes, around LSU's campus and via Twitter and Facebook. It was the main promotional tool. You can read more about my work at CTK and see more pictures from these events under my internship page. |

BirchBoxA good marketing tool companies use today is called an infographic video. An infographic video is a curated motion graphic video explanation; it displays information on the company in a more visually appealing way using animated text and music.
For a project, my group and I had to create one of these videos. Our client was Birch Box. The video (left) is the infographic I created. You can also click here to view our presentation on BirchBox. |
