As Faith and Community Partnerships Coordinator at Catholic Charities Diocese of Baton Rouge, I worked with volunteer management and parish social ministry. I also developed marketing materials for these and other programs (such as the Heart 2 Heart Youth Mentoring Program and YouShare), including a redesign of current promotional items.
One of the company's biggest challenges was internal communication. With so many departments and programs, employees needed a medium of streamlined information to stay up-to-date on what was happening in the company. My solution was to create an internal monthly e-blast called What's Brewing at CC's. The e-blast contained content such as a letter from the Executive Director, birthdays, fun facts and riddles, departmental updates, prayers and an opportunity to submit ideas. The e-blast was a success and helped employees feel connected.
